Bangkok Airports
Suvarnabhumi International Airport is approximately 30 km southeast of Bangkok, travel time by road is approximately 45 minutes but it also has an elevated airport rail link from the airport to Phaya Thai BTS station, a journey of around 25 minutes.
Don Meuang Airport is 24 km north of central Bangkok and operates domestic flights and budget airlines.
BTS SkyTrain & MRT Underground
In Bangkok, an air-conditioned transit system called the BTS SkyTrain and the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) underground make getting around the city easy. Though trains don’t go everywhere, they stop at many important tourist sites and the system is being extended.
Bangkok Taxis & Tuk-tuks
Taxis in Bangkok are available around the clock. Metres start at 35 baht and few taxi rides within the city will cost more than 150 baht. Passengers must pay expressway fees. The ubiquitous three-wheeled tuk-tuk is a popular experience for visitors to Bangkok. They do not have a metre and prices should be agreed before starting the journey.
